DDE and my Delivery

Well,

I stopped by the Round Rock center today to see if they could figure out what was up with my DDE since I am supposed to be OCT - DEC.

Well, the manager there looked at the list, and yes, I am NOT on it for any car being delivered to me, all the way thru NOV 30. So, what that tells me is that I am not getting it until DEC at the earliest. They don't even have a list yet for DEC deliveries.

Another note on the list. NO RALLY REDS being delivered thru Nov 30. So, maybe I will have the first. There was only one of the new Grey Metalics that was ordered. Most were yellow, white, and silver, with about 2 or 3 blues. Glad that I am different and not going to look like the rest that ordered all of them light colors. I am hoping that I stand out much more.

Also, they did get a call from two others in Round Rock delivery, and they had ordered Rally Red. And, their DDE has POOFED. So, go figure. I am almost wondering if they are having issues with getting the color right from the vendor and all of our Rally Reds are being pushed.

Hmmm. Thats odd. Just remember, mine is blue and Im in the same boat.

I think my date is changing. I read a newsletter sortof email I just got. It said that Jan 1st on out ppl get charged the new price. If you get a new 09 this year, then you don't get charged the extra 400. Well, from what I seen on my Configuration link, my price was updated the extra $400. So, my best guess is that the dates are going to show up and I will now have a Jan or later date, which pisses me off to high heaven. Oh well, if it's not 9 month delivery, I have to deal with it. Original DDE had me as May - July. It moved up over the past 6 months.

Well, I got my new DDE Dec 6 - Mar 6th. I also just got my confirmation email from Smart saying the car would arrive in a 90 day window. That email was at 10pm last night. From the dealer estimate, I am guessing late Dec early Jan. So, hoping that I can pick it up right before xmas or day or two after. That would make a great xmas present.

Plus, IF you take delivery, OR it's on the lot before January 1, you get the 08 pricing and save $400

Yes, I think it was mentioned a few weeks back regarding delays with the new red. Glad you finally did get a definitive dde, although too bad its later...

I am hoping but I doubt it. My confirmation when I configured went up the 400 on it also. Would be nice to skate out of the extra 400 since I did order it this year. But, I can say, just getting it would make me happy. Not having to pay the extra 400 could just get me the 5 year tire warranty. But thanks for the hope. Got to have that.

My configuration also went up, BUT, my talk with smartUSA stated that IF you take delivery OR the vehicle is "on the lot" prior to Jan.1, you will get the 08 price I guess only time will tell

I just configured yesterday and for me, its a double edge sword. If I take delivery before Jan 1st, I save $400 but will I be able to finance it? I dont know. If I wait till feburary then I can probably finance it, but I get to eat $400. Se la Vie!
