Joining the MINIs on their Next Monthly Meeting?

Chrisdfw brought up the idea of crashing the MINI meet. They will welcome us with open arms. So what do you think? The next meeting is May 10th Saturday at Humperdinks in Addison with gathering usually around 5:00 pm and go inside for dinner around 6:00pm I was there to show off my smart back in February and got plenty of attention along with the launch of the MINI Clubman. We can easily get 10+ smart at the meeting. So what do you think?

I think I will continue taking my MINI to the MINI meeting. (That's what I did in April.) Altho I guess there are at least 3 of us in MetroplexMINI with MINIs and smarts now (Arline, Vicky and me). But I think many members tire of the "counterfeits."

I suggest we create a local smart club.

On the contrary, I pm Rex and she didn't have any problems for the SMART to join in on May's meeting. And this is a quote from her

"I actually think it's a great idea! I think our group gets a kick out of seeing other cool cars...we are a CAR club after all."

So Arline, Vicki, Chris, Steve, and all others with a smart are welcome to join metroplexMINI's May meeting.

Please let the mini owners know that we come in peace as lovers of small cars! I personally love the look of minis and especially the horspower of the S model.

The MINI group is a fun bunch and they're one of the friendliest group you'll find. I was honor to be one of the founders and an officer for metroplexmini when we first started. Unfortunately when I got rid of the MINI there's 1-2 individuals didn't think it was appropriate to have an officer not having a MINI yet we had a president who didn't a MINI for the longest time.

I'll come and bring my Smart, we can pick a corner to park the littler cars in. It will be heavy on the yellow, which is fine with me! Perry, Chris, Jo and I all have yellow. If Arline comes and brings hers we'll have to save her a spot in the middle.

The MINI folks are a car loving group. There have been an assortment fo visiting cars for as long as I actively participated. Audi's, BMW's, handbuilt racecars...everyone is welcome.

I don't have my Smart yet, but maybe I'll crash the meeting with the TT - again.

Expect a lot of attention, but you'll also enjoy checking out the variety of directions that the members have taken their cars. It's a fun group. Enjoy.

Are the restrooms clean at Humperdinks? If not, I can't attend.
