Hi there my name is Mykl (pronounced Michael) and i just caught the Smart bug. I have been seeing them around my work lately and decided to go to the Smart dealer in Dallas. I REALLY like them. I used to have a MINI Cooper so im used to and prefer a small agile car. Im driving a 04 Jetta that i got to replace my MINI as a lower cost alternative. Im looking at a Passion Coupe in White, but i cant decide on the black or silver cell. Anyway i look forward to meeting you guys.

just to let you know, but don't get discouraged, the wait for one is not a few months. Right now you are looking for 9 - 18 months.

I ordered one Feb 2 , 08 and finally got my confirmation to configure the car Aug 26th. I am told by deliever estimator Nov - Jan. So, as you can see, it is not a short wait. But from what I have read from all of the owners, they really love their car. Soon to have my Rally Red Cabrio.

As you can see, im not too far from you Mykl. I Reserved on Feb 16th, and have yet to confirm. Probably soon, but when I went in a few months ago, I asked about a dear friend of mine's smart. He reserved in Feb 07, and as of may 08, had not even confirmed. I will probably send my smart to round rock, but it depends on a few things. I hope this didnt frustrate you. If you have lots of cash, send yours to NY. You will probably get it before I configure!

Yeah my friend Perry has a Yellow/Black Passion Coupe and he told me the wait was long and the lady at the dealer said it was about 18 months. Why is it SO long? i mean i can understand 2-6 months but 18!?
