Spotted truck load of smarts

I was on I-10 near Columbus and a truck load of smarts passed me up heading west. I sure hope they were headed to smart san antonio. Looked like eight cars.

Yes, there is a Columbus, Texas on I10. http://tinyurl.com/2zejrn
If the truck turned on Hwy71 it might be on it's way to the Roundrock smartcenter!

Not really.......... 8 smarts is a exceptionally small number here 7 weeks into the delivery game.... OK yes it is good that there are ANY in route...BUT come on...ONLY 8 on a transporter that will hold 24? Hopefully they dropped part off in Houston and the others are bound for RR or SA

Say, I thought all smarts were trucked in an enclosed trailer. In fact, I've been told that is the only way to transport them according to smartUSA. Did you see them on those open car trailers?? Hope not. Thanks, Regina

I really never heard the closed truck routine thing. I did see a clip here on the forum of them unloading Smarts from the normal shipper truck you see all the time, at a dealer up North. Enclosed trucking costs alot more.
