I also did see a pic on here somewhere that showed smarts being hauled on an open trailer, and also the top front smart was a cabrolet with the back of the car facing the oncoming air. Maybe I'm paranoid, but wouldn't that be a little rough on the back glass of the soft top have that blast of air constantly on it? Also, what if the truck ran into rain and then having rain blasting the back glass in the top? Hope those windows have a good seal on them. Oh wait!!!!! Didn't I see a photo where someone was placing their hand into the car by forcing their hand between the glass and the top??

I would imagiine that some cars have already left the Baltimore port since the ship "Courage" arrived on Feb 17th. Or I am just way off?

Amethyste, I would be surprised if they have. THere is much paperwork and inspection to be done, plus allocating the cars to the right transports. If the cars had left earlier this week, they would be here already....it is only nine hours away. Maybe a two or three day truck trip??

I am now hoping for next weekend, but my husband is going to the BAHAMAS and I have nobody to drive me 90 miles to the dealership to pick it up!!!

They may have to back down and do a Saturday delivery so I can go with my son.

that long drive to the dealer is a problem for me too, we are each getting one and that leaves nobody to drive the other car home. not really considering a trade, have a friend who may be the answer.

San Antonio Smart Cars

Mike, we had a 2008 Red/Black Cabriolet that we bought back in June 2008. We had placed an order for a Blue/Silver smart car when we ordered this one. Last Sunday we stopped at the Smart Center in San Antonio and they had several new and used on the lot. We saw a blue and silver one that we like and when we went in to see about buying it a couple had just bought it who were already in the showroom. Anyway, the manager said they had another one that has just came in and was not ready. It was an orphan, so we bought it and picked it up Monday, Feb. 23. If anyone is interested, they might check at the Smart Center because they had a couple new red ones, white ones, the new color that looks like a warm grey. They also had a silver Brabus with some fancy tailpipes. All in all, there were probably about 10-12 cars....some new and some used. We traded in our cabriolet.
