Nope. My hair is/was curly. But it's close enough I figured it'd work.

Good enough, I must agree with the sentiment angel. Maybe even 'Move along folks nothing to see here'.

Just want to conclude by saying that this was a good debate. And for the most part it actually stayed positive (with a few hiccups) We all have unique perspectives on topics which will keep this forum alive wth interesting points of view as we discuss the wonderful world of Smarts now and in the future!!

I know this thead is old but i ran across it searching for how to report a texas dealer for being open on a sunday and just had to respond.

I work for a car dealer. I get ready at 5:30 in the morning, in the dark as to not wake up my wife. I give her and my sleeping 8 yr old a kiss on the head before i walk out the door. Its dark outside. I get to work and begin getting ready for the day by 6:30 because our boss wants us there early. I look over my appointments for the day and see an array of issues from paint chips to tow ins (vehicle coming in on tow truck). My first customer is probably upset about something and will take it out on me, holler at me, think that because i cant get his issue covered under warrranty i dont want to help. I get paid on warranty repair as well as customer pay so its not that i dont want to. Its because i cant. I cant defy the manufacturer and send in a claim that wont get paid. I wouldnt be tiredcarguy very long. So i fade the heat. I do this several times a day because no-body wants to come to the dealer for anything other than an oil change. But hey, things break. So my lunch break is close. About that time someone comes in a wants to wait for an oil change. Ok ill write it up. But now i cant leave because i am responsible for that persons car until it leaves. Were commission so of course no-one else wants to watch it. So maybe i run to the gas station next door and get a microwavable burrito so im not gone longer than 10 minutes.

So its in the afternoon now. Ive already worked longer than most people do in a day and i still have several hours left. Ill have a somewhat stressful but filling day and at around 7 pm ill be walking out to my car. Get home about 7:45, 8:00 - see my wife and son - who have already eatin, and hang out with my boy for about 30 minutes before he goes to bed. Then i get to spend about an hour with my wife before my exhausted body is ready to go to bed. Ill do this 6 days a week to put food on the table that I can enjoy on sunday. I know its my job and i chose my career but it wasnt like this when i got in it. It has turned in to this and like most americans i cannot just up and change career courses. Its like this because of the people that started this thread. But we all do what we have to do.

Oh almost forgot my point. I love my job. Wouldnt do anything else. But for example, it snowed here in dallas for a couple days and some of the dealers closed. Well the ones that closed are doing business on sundays (just not completing the dates on the paperwork till monday) in order to regain business. Of course the bosses arent there but hey why not were all commision, thier thinking is if they dont make anything, they dont have to pay us anything. The sad part is theyre right.

I am sorry, but there is a reason that businesses are closed on Sunday in that area, so those who are into going to church can freely have that day to do so, and it does relieve stress. True some outfits need to be open 24/7 such as hospitals, police stations, and sometimes public transportation outfits. Now take Chick-Fil-a for example, they have always been closed on sundays for the above reason mentioned, and they do just as well during the rest of the week on their normal business hours. We have truly become way to microwave society and it has had some dreadful effects on our society as a whole.

You're certainly entitled to your opinion. But why force it on those who disagree? You can always choose not to go shopping on Sunday, if you don't like it.
