What can we do as a group that would be even more fun than getting tipsy at the saucer? I have some suggestions and please add yours.
If you guys wanted something fun to do also, I wouldn't mind some Dallas company when I go to Round Rock to pick up my smart. Janet and Eric from SCOA are meeting us there and then going to lunch at Texas Road House after I take delivery and sign my soul away.
Also, I wanted to do a euro car show at my church. We did a classic car show with a good turn out. No one has responded on SCOA yet...
I say lets plan for a ride. Maybe down to the Dr. Pepper Factory?
So far this year, as well as our regular once a month meet at a pub for a drink and a meal, we have been rollerskating and then went for a meal, we had a dog walk, about 5 miles, and not everybody had dogs, it did'nt matter, a Leeds to Bridlington fun run to the seaside, a Halloween fancy dress run to Whitby for goth week, and we are going 10 pin bowling soon and then for a meal and we are going trail riding on horseback in the Yorkshire countryside.
For Christmas we are having a treasure hunt, we meet up somewhere and are given a map and instructions or clues and we have to find our way around ending up at, you guessed it, a pub for a christmas dinner.
Hope this gives you a few ideas.
Ellis

I have heard of it. If you all do that and I have my smart when you guys do it, might be interested in joining you from the Austin Chapter if at all possible. Might even have some of the Austin chapter be interested and we can make it a dual chapter run.

If I can be a member of the Austin chapter, as Janet has said, then you can be a member of the DFW chapter. Come up and have a beer with us this month!

Depends what day you have it on. If it's on a Friday and I can make it, then a motel would work. If it's during the week, most likely be hard to make it with my work times. 4:30 wake up is rough after driving back from Dallas.

Nope, Last Saturday of the month. So far our meeting place is the flying saucer in Addison. 4pm on the 29th this month.
Jediknight,
When are you getting your Smart? When you talk about this drive to round rock (great idea btw) the date would be paramount to the response. The rest of us could shop in the Smart car retail shop while U do the paperwork.

I just saw your responce. The date as of right now is Jan 17th. Thinking if we do this, we can meet at a starbucks or something early and head down. Right now, its lunch at texas road house and what ever Janet and Eric have in store for us.
