What a difference a year makes.

Took my little smart in for the 2.0 update and the lot was full o smarts. They had over 22 smarts on the lot ready to sell. Last year the lot was empty and any smarts you saw there were sold. Great time to walk in and drive out. Waiting months to get a smart was pure torture for me. These new smart car owners have no idea what we went thru waiting over a year for a smart. I think the waiting made me love my smart a little more

I waited 9 months then took a orphan in February (right around time when the car started collecting on the lot). When I have stopped by my dealer they seem to have more now.

I agree that the wait made me love the car more. It took a year but I think with the gas lower people just don't think about savings. I did not buy this for the gas savings but for the fun that the car brings me. Gas saving is just a bonus.

Got mine for the gas savings. The FUN was a bounus. But then I tend to view life a little differently.

I'm with you, Jim. We've got the fuel economy of a hybrid at half the price.
