Smart has replaced their old style with this new style. This should take care of the issue of the upper left side coming down after a while. We now have the new version in stock.

I've never had a problem with mine when it was fastened in plus I like to rest my foot up there. Hmmm, are they going to start marketing a "smart" brand (not aftermarket) dead pedal?

This sucks, now the area in the top left will get dirty. I'm glad I got mine w/ the flap and the 50 cent extra Velcro I bought to attach it better.

I have the "old version" but my flap fastens in to the floor just like the rest of the mat.

In our honest opinion? Hmmm.

Here is what we tell everyone that asks....

The Genuine Smart Mats are good mats, but there are better mats for relatively the same amount of money.

We try to upgrade most folks to the S-Mann mats since they are close to the same cost and are much better in quality. The carpet is better, the binding and the backing. The next ones we would recommend are made by Lloyd. We do not carry them, but have met the manufacturer and seen the product. It is a good mat and the only reason we do not carry it is because we already stock Genuine Smart Velour and All Weather Mats, S-Mann Mats and BRABUS mats.

The best ones we have are the BRABUS mats. The backing is superior to everything out there and the carpet is top notch. They are more money, but as they say "You get what you pay for".

We are in the process of launching our our brand of products (mats, dash covers, car covers, exhausts, springs, shocks and etc) and have been putting a product line together that will be equal or superior to what is currently available while at same time offering a better value for the money. Last week we finalized our floor mats designs and plan to have them available in the fist or second week of January.

They will offer superior backing, binding and carpet to what is available now at a good price point. They will sell for over $100, but will be a good value (comparable to the $350 mats out in the market currently, but much, much less). Not inexpensive, but on of the best.

What's the best for under $100? From what we seen, we would have to say S-Mann. Over $100 would have to be BRABUS. For now.... :-)

Hope that helps.
