She's got make up on

Since my smart is a girl I decided to go give her some cosmetics to give her more colors.

That's right that plastic panel on both sides are now wrapped in Burgandy Red. I am also wraping the spoiler but unfortunately my installer ran into a complication while taking the spoiler off. My installer had to saw off one of the screw that holds the spoiler in place. I stop by my local smart center to order a replacement screw and have to have them put it on. FYI in order to take off the spoiler you'll have to take off the entire back hatch.
I am going to get with a smart tech. next week and have him walk me through the process of taking it off so I can go back to my installer to finish the job.

I know it does not match but I wanted to add more contrasting effect to it and red seems to stand out more than other colors besides yellow. BTW the red i used DID match the tail lights but when it's placed on the black panels it made it darker. This was actually the second red he used. The first one was the tomato red just like the smart. But to me it was too orangy. Besides If I ever switch to black panels I'll have the A Team mobile ready to go

Jo, Ed from Cooperflag did the wrap and he ran into problems with it. To take the spoiler off is a lot harder than the MINI.

It's a 3M material made specifically for vehicle wrap. It's the same type of materials used to wrap buses, trucks, or any vehicle you see having a full wrap. The materials will not fade for 3 - 5 years depending on how you care for it. When it's taken off it does not leave a sticky residue. The MINIs you see with roof graphics and bonnet stripes all uses this 3M materials and so far I haven't really heard of any problems except for the very first ones done back in 2002 when the former owner did not know the difference in 3M materials. Ever since Ed took over Cooperflags I have not heard any problems with their products.

Thanks, Perry. I may have to see Ed ** thinking about a wrap for a business idea I have....

I think the red looks great! It matches the taillights well. Now I will know you from all the other yellow/black smarts around (me, Vicky soon!).
