SMART - Nice wheels! Do you mind me asking what size rims you installed and where you picked them up? Keep up the good work - looking forward to the finished black beast!

They are just the stock wheels powdercoated black. I bought the painted spare set (see black and blue wheels) off a member here and then had them sandblasted and powdercoated (See all black wheels).

I wish I would have gotten to you before you sent the cool blue wheels to be bastardized...

I would have traded you my silver ones!

I plan on painting the spokes on my stock wheels black and leaving the rims silver. The dealer said they would do that for me.......FOR $900!! Can you believe that!?! I'm doing it for a $5 can of premium Rustoleum and some of my time. The Mercedes/Maserati dealer connection was showing through I think. Jack, Vero Beach, FL

Yeah, there are definitely a few routes to go.

First, professional powdercaoting which will run you about 40 per wheels.

Next is professional painting which is more like 100-150 wheel.

And last is DIY which goes like this...

While I would classify the DIY as efficient and good enough... it does require time, patience, painting skill, a place to paint, vehicle downtime, and a bunch more stuff that I don't have.
