ZAP drove six smarts (Euro gray market versions from 2004-2005) from the ZAP offices in Northern California to the New York Auto Show last year. I was one of the drivers on the 3500 mile 5 day drive across country. We even got pulled over in West Texas for speeding (94 mph) and got away with a warning. Mileage close to 40 mpg for the drive, mostly at freeway speeds (and above).
Love the paint job. That's not real good mileage. I get better in my Neon R/T with 185 hp. I'm hoping the US models will average in the mid 40s and over 50 on the hwy......
