Thank you. I was going to be the one to clarify the make of this skinny car. I did a school project designing banner ads for this car, and know ti all too well.

Hey! I was going to say that!

They don't seem to be safe though. As they compare it to the safety of other sports cars. Sports cars are not meant to be safe.

What would happen if you were "splitting" the lanes at over 100mph and you just so happen to nail another car?

Where are the crumple zones?

Range:
Lead acid battery...40-60mi
Lithium Ion battery..100+

Who would pay $100,000 for a two seater when you could get a luxury Mercedes for the same price?

Now that I think about it, The Bugatti Veyron is a 2 seater too. Both the Tango and the Bugatti have something in common.

-Nearly no safety
-Costs over 100,000
-goes unnecessarily fast
-will turn heads

What the Tango has all to itself

-2000lbs of mostly battery
-only someone with the iq level of a monkey would even consider paying the price
or anybody that lives in a gated community with kids...and only 3 brain cells

Either way: Tango =

The little thing has some potential, but its designers are not considering what people are looking for.

People are looking something at a good price, has some nifty advantages to it, and will do better for the person in the long run. People are not looking for a $100,000 performance car with a range of 100 miles, split traffic, and can park nose-in.

But, I'm pretty sure they'll eventually work out the kinks and then it could be comparable to the smart and its competitors

P.S. I THINK THIS THREAD HAS BEEN HIJACKED!!!

Okay, so it has the roll cage of a dragster or another race car, that's pretty safe. I must have been talking about another car when I talked about it's safety above.

Although it seems convincing, they need to get it crash tested before they can claim bragging rights...

Quote:
we have designed the Tango around a roll cage that meets or exceeds both SCCA and NHRA regulations. These are racing organizations that specify cage design to protect the occupants of cars crashing at over 200 mph
For now, until they can get some official results on its safety, nobody should consider handing over 100k for it.

...not too shabby...

With over 1,000 ft-lbs. of torque, the Tango can accelerate from zero to over 130 mph in one gear. Without needing an energy-robbing transmission or differential, it accelerates from zero to 60 mph in about 4 seconds and finishes the standing 1/4 mile in about 12 seconds at over 100 mph.

If I had that kind of money to spend on a toy, I'd get a Tesla ($85-120K).
