Some interior accent painting.

So heres my smart after my work today. I have it in '2008 red' and Chevy red/orange rustoleum engine enamel is a near match(so close you cant tell without having it side by side) I stripped out all of the pieces of trim and whatnot, prepped and painted em up! Put a clear enamel coat on at the end and they came out looking great.

Did you much sanding before painting? What type of prep work. Looks good.

didnt sand the pebbled surface parts. just lightly sanded the smooth stuff with 1000 grit wet-or-dry and then washed them off.

Washed all of the parts with engine degreaser to get off the stupid armorall that was put on there from the dealer(bought used), and then washed with dawn and warm water. air dried with an air compressor, let them warm in the sun and then sprayed.

Besides the center button the door handles remove easily too (look behind them towards the base). Just make sure you do a little prep work first then coat with adhesion promoter before shooting color.

painted the handles too, coated em thick and put a thick clear coat on. it feels silky smooth now, unlike all the other parts. probably has 2x the coats of both color and clear.

pics probably tomorrow if anyone wants to see.
