ooooh, this isn't such good news for smart owners overall.
It means that smart cars arn't selling well, at least at Plaza motors. I hope that smart sales decline is not any worse than other manufacturers. This recession is starting to get on my last nerve

I'm happy that I've received well over $1250 of added enjoyment from purchasing my cabrio early on. I'm actually happy to see the smart offered with incentives that aren't out of line with what the rest of the industry is doing at this point.

Bottom line: I want the smart brand to do very well. If incentives are needed to produce volume, I welcome it!

I agree, we all hope for the smart name to continue and expand. Lets just hope they don't forget about those of us that got them started.

All full price owners should push for a loyalty benefit from Penske. How about an extra year and 12k miles on the warranty? I'd go for that, and if the car is worth it's salt it shouldn't cost the much at all.
