In an effort to improve our aftersales experience we have hired a new service and parts liason to coordinate your vehicle needs. Ryan Amundsen starts next week and has a great automotive background. In his spare time he enjoys wrenching on his personal vehicle and considers himself an enthusiast.
Once we get him situated I will post more contact info! Thanks for being patient!
I just wanted to add that I went into the San Jose location last Monday for a test drive. The sales person that went with me answered all my questions I had at the time. She was extremely patient. She was so sweet that when we got back she offered to take my young son out for a drive also, and she explained all about the car to him. It made his day.
I did make a reservation and got on the orphan list too. I mentioned that I was interested in the cabriolet when I put my name on the orphan list, but now I think we are going to be interested in the coupe instead. Should I call and change that on the orphan list or do you just call regardless and say "this is what we have, are you interested"?
"danag", whatever the situation in your neck of the woods may be, don't you think that more personal relations/contacts with your dealer is a sure way to get what you wish? In your shoes, I'd call or, better, visit. Often...
I agree with JPaul. Stop by for a visit to the Smart Center, often. That's how I got my orphan. I was at the Smart Center the day you and your son came to test drive a Smart Car. It was great to watch your son jumping up and down with excitement to get a ride in the Smart.
How funny that you were there, and yes he was very excited that day. Actually my kids live in fear that with such a long wait for the car that their parents (my husband and myself) will change our minds. No way! We looked at a Honda Civic, and while a great little car (have owned lots of Hondas) they are just too boring compared to the Smart Car. We are in for as long as it takes us and hopefully not long with being on the orphan list. I guess it's time to pay another visit to the Smart Center. Besides my son will be excited to sit in the car again.
Definately best to call us and open up your vehicle interests. If you don't state "open to anything that comes up" you will be bypassed from consideration if the available vehicle doesn't meet the criteria we have on the list.
Thanks for the feedback. I actually did stop in yesterday and spoke with Elana (I hope I spelled her name correctly) and did open up my preferences. I got to sit in one of the showroom cars again, that alone was worth the visit.
Ryan Amundsen is our new service and parts liason. His hours are 8-5 M-F. He is available to handle all your service and parts needs. He can be reached at 408-247-9034
