I would like to express our pleasure in dealing with smart Center San Diego. First our brand specialist Eric took us on two test drives, one in the 2008 before we reserved and one in a 2009 to see how we liked the improved car. The DDE changed more often than I change socks and the Manager Udo invited us to e-mail him every week to get an update. When the car was about three weeks beyond the original dealer ETA he contacted the regional manager to have the car expidited and Max was put on a truck by himself and delivered to the dealership. Sally the F&I person got us numerous offers and even bought down the rate so the payment matched what she quoted. There were some issues with the bluetooth function of the navigation system and Eric came in on his day off to take the car to the Kenwood installer to get the issue resolved. When we expressed concern that the phone could only be dialed on screen with the parking brake set, he got us the name of an expert that reprogramed the bluetooth so it can be dialed with the brake off -- so in an emergency my wife can dial for help even if she has to continue driving. Eric threw in the floor mats at no cost and all and all the experience was every bit as good as it was at the Mercedes dealership from whom we purchased or leased our last four Mercedes, the most recent being European Delivery of a 2009 C300 Luxury. All and all smart San Diego went out of their way to please us, even going so far as cutting the price of the dealer add ons. No pressure to buy them but as we wanted them, and they knew that, they could have milked us for dealer list instead of cutting us a nice price break.
