Sounds about right. That is just a little more than I paid for mine. It is a black coupe with driving lamps as the only option. I see them on ebay for 23-24K, used, but that is way out of line in my opinion.

Apparently people are not going to the local dealers to see the flood of cars on the lots. Between the two dealers here now, I have access to nearly 70 different smart fortwo's for sale. Both of them have several Brabus's on the lot.

I know the dealership in Fairfield, CT still does not negotiate with sticker. I know the Fairfield, CT branch doesn't have any used Smarts. I spoke to the manager today and she said there has been a big increase in the number of people coming in asking for used Smarts.

I paid around $24,500 for my Brabus Cabrio out the door with a few extras. There was one that sold for $19k on ebay. It was a military guy who is being deployed out to Afghanistan within 2 weeks. Now I guess people are going to start claiming new Brabus Cabrios are worth $19k based on that.

There's a fully stripped Cabrio on ebay listed at $15,550 having the Brabus package (the only thing Brabus I see on it is the badge. Weird thing is it is from Brooklyn just like the $19k military Brabus auction. Makes me wonder if someone is playing games with auctions). This is needless to say, but don't send people money without seeing the vehicle and all the paperwork should be verified with the DMV. Titles can be faked!

Car sales are picking up across all makes according to NPR news this morning. Global economy is getting better, thus gas prices will continue to rise. The month of May saw the highest increase in gas prices in over a decade. Summer is a few weeks away, peak season for convertibles. To me that will equate to higher demand, thus fewer used Smarts.

There isn't a cabrio on Autotrader for $13,900 (at least not for year models 2008 or 2009). In fact, there's only 3 Smarts on Autotrader for $13,995 and below and they are Coupes.

The 4th least expensive Smart is however a Cabrio for $14,500 on autotrader with 12,500 miles. The seller claims it's fully loaded with all the options, which isn't the case based on the pictures.

The next half dozen Smarts are all coupes which are $15k to 16K.

Cabrio's MSRPs are $3k more than Coupes. Seems too good to be true.

Didn't you state in a different thread that there was a dealer with brand new cabrios for under $15k? If so, which dealer?
