They invented the word bait & switch. They are artists at this game. Those Cabrios lack the optional features with the exception of a comfort package on one of them. I've spent the better half of my life in Florida as has most of my family. If you believe these dealers are going to give you a bargain above what a private individual will do then walk into that dealership and get what they advertise. You certainly got lucky if you get it for the advertised price.
Did you read what the dealer wrote in the description?
"PRICING DOES NOT INCLUDE ANY ADDITIONAL RECOND. CHARGES THAT MAY OCCUR AFTER PHOTO IS TAKEN AND PRICED.PLUS FEES AND DEALER INSTALLED ADD-ONS."
I wish you the best of luck in finding a Smart for as little as possible. I mean who doesn't like a bargain?
We are in two different parts of the country. The northeast just started getting temps in the 70s. I still haven't turn my A/C on granted the house is very well insulated. We went through weeks of cloudy, rainy days in April and first half of May, which is why my local dealer is starting to get heavier foot traffic. I'd refrain from repeating myself here.
Honestly I do hope you find what you are looking for at the price you want, however I think we can agree to disagree here on what we believe is actual market value. NADA book value is done by locality so comparing what's in Florida to what's in Connecticut really wouldn't make any difference even if the advertised sale price were legitimate.
