New Orleans Dealership -finally!

Good news for the area! I read a post last week mentioning a dealership in the New Orleans area would be adding Smart. I did some digging and found out some info:
No specific details but the rumor has been verified!
The Porsche dealer will be adding a Smart franchise.

At least it is good news for me. When I first reserved, Houston was the closest location. Then Jackson, Ms. opened but still 3 hours away. My DDE is March/May '09, so this will be perfect timing.

Sent an update request to Ron Weyer. He replied they will begin construction on the Audi side of the dealership in March and hope to be finished within 90 days. Not quite as soon as I had hoped (DDE shows between now and 4/22/09), but I am still glad there is a plan to continue with the dealership. As things progress, I will post another update.

That is strange, I checked with Mercedes Benz next door to Porsche and they say they are going to start selling Smart cars.
