Checked out the new location today when I brought my car in for the 2.0 upgrade - I must say it looks nice! The idea of a "drive-in" check-in procedure is cool - I hope that goes through. Too bad you couldn't have left a small part of the previous tenant's business in place - we could have had a nice glass of a single malt while we were waiting

i too just returned from Smart Center Stevens Creek for the 2.0 upgrade. the new setup is sweet. very professional. the service rep mark was a pleasure to deal with. completed the upgrade just a little over 2 hrs and mine included the new battery.

Just wanted to add a thumbs-up. Buying my smart from Ryan and Michelle in Stevens Creek was the most relaxed car-buying experience, ever. Great, very knowledgeable folks, excellent selection. Highly recommended!

Smart ED Fortwo

Hello Ryan,

I found this post via a Google search for a nearby dealership.

I tried calling and got someone's voice mail. I don't like waiting for returned calls. More often than not, I miss the reply and a game of voice mail tag begins.

There is more and more buzz about an all electric Smart coming to the market. I don't want to be taken unawares and told, "Oh, you should have contacted us last month. We've sold our allotment."

Have you any ballpark figure for the price? Do you know when do you plan to take orders? I'd rather be near the front of the line this time.

Thanks,

baumgrenze

I do not have enough posts to send you a PM or I would have used that route. It seemed a shame to clutter up the forums just to accumulate enough posts.

Great service experience at Smart Center Stevens Creek

A couple of weeks ago my Smart was broken into at a local shopping center while I was having lunch. They smashed the rear hatch and grabbed my laptop bag and my sisters backpack (yes, I was stupid and had a suitcase visible through the rear hatch...). I had meetings all day that I couldn't miss but at 5:00pm I figured I'd give the service department at Stevens Creek a call to see if they could help me even though it was late. I work in San Jose but live in Berkeley so I wasn't looking forward to the drive home in traffic with the smashed rear hatch.

I spoke with Mark Williams on the phone and he said that there would be someone here until about 5:30, but if needed they could stay later. Luckily the traffic wasn't too bad and I showed up there at about 5:15.

I swear I felt like I was at a Four Seasons hotel. Mark took care of getting all of the car/insurance information while another woman asked if I needed a loaner. By 5:30 I had the keys to a loaner in my hand and was all set.

I can't say enough about the whole Smart Center Stevens Creek operation and especially about Mark! They turned a very stressful situation for me into a very comfortable experience. I highly recommend them.

thanks for sharing a good story especially with a smart dealer since there is a lot of anti-dealer beliefs in this forum. Here is one thing I assume tho - I'll bet you were very personable, respectful and honest when you had your exchanges with Mark. I don't know either of you but I do know that the best service is when both parties treat each other like they want to be treated and start with NO preconceived ideas.

I am curious if you had/have an alarm on your smart and if yes, how did it work. thanks.

Yes, my smart does have an alarm but it did not go off. I assume that because the latch was not opened, just the glass broken.

Maybe they just got lucky and hired a bunch of nice, competent people, or maybe they have a deliberate focus on service, courtesy, etc. Either way, our interactions with the folks at sc Stevens Creek continue to be extremely pleasant and satisfying.

I told them, the other day, that they'd be perfect if they were closer to my house.
