You know, as silly as it sounds, we went through the same thing years ago with Beanie Babies. Short supply, shorter tempers, beleagured dealers, frustration all the way around.

(in her most soothing voice.....) Patience SmartArse, I'm pullin' for ya. It'll be here soon, I'm sure, and when it does, look me up and we'll meet half way and have our own mini-rally, lol!!!!!

CarlssonPro, have a care, man. You have people begging to get your product, and a short fuse isn't going to help smooth things over at all. We KNOW you're frustrated, we KNOW everyone's screaming blue murder at you, we KNOW you're doing the very best you can under the circs, we KNOW they'll get here eventually, and as best I can gather, you're in customizations, and not sales, and they're the ones getting the worst of it. I know. I've been in the dealership several times, and have heard it for myself.

I know you're probably just a guy with a good heart trying to take some heat off your peeps, but snarking off at folks is just going to exascerbate things.

Take lessons from Victoria and Alesia and the other young lady, smile at your customers, put a smile in your voice and your emails, and just chill. They are very classy, professional young ladies, btw, and til ya'll get sufficient stock in, are probably your dealership's biggest asset right now. (Give 'em all a raise, btw.) Eric was also pleasant to deal with. Though the poor fellow seemed terribly rushed, he made a point of being nice.

Smartarse, I'm sorry, I know I'm saying this from the point of view of having already gotten one of ours, so not meaning to sound snarky myself, but I have two teenage daughters every bit as anxious as you are to get their Smarts, so we are pawing at the ground just as much as you are. Moreso, since teenagers have not got an OUNCE of patience.

We drove the Smart to a local butchershop this morning, it's a Bohemian smokehouse, the family who owns it are all Eastern European, and people line up on Sat mornings (even in the pouring rain!) to buy their smoked meats and handmade sausages. Probably half or more of the people in line are from Eastern Europe. You should have seen the faces wreathed in smiles when we drove past the line to park!

Guys guys trust me everything is going to good. Kevin is a straight foward guy and that should not be taken as rudeness. He is here for us and will continue to strive to do what he can to keep everyone happy.
In life there are always accidents or mixups. Its unfortunate on what happen about the SMART however that issue will be resolve in due time. I know I know how you feel I have been waiting too but if we all try to be paitence and persistant on following up with respect im sure in the end we will get positive results.
Grene has her heart at SMART and will make sure she does what she can in her power to satisfy the customer within reason.

just to throw my $.2 in. i've had nothing but awesome things to say about scbuckhead. i picked my car up on the 28th (the day they came in because i'm antsy like that) and they had the car rush detailed so i could drive it off the lot that day. of course, i'd been in there so often between my birthday (the 11th) and then, that i'm sure they were just glad to give me my car so i'd stop pestering them! :P

i went back a week later and was greeted by name, it's nice to be treated like a valued customer. although the accessories i was looking for are no longer in stock, i get the feeling they're trying their hardest to keep up with demand. i'm glad that we have such good local dealer.

Buckhead conifrmation numbers

Can someone update us on confirmation numbers in Buckhead?
I want to make sure I'm not passed up!!
This way everyone would know where they stand in confirming their order.

Hands down SMARTCENTEROFBUCKHEAD #1

I just recently picked up my SMART and the experience was great. They worked extremly hard to make things happen and was calm and courteous the entire time. When I get my survey I will give them the HIGHEST rating on each category just because they are that good.
Everyone from the product specialist to the Product Manager and even the Parts and performance guru at the SMART center are always A+.

I just want to say thanks again and you have a satisfied customer.

Kevin I will be intouch with you soon about getting some items to mod the SMART and I plan for you guys to intall everything because I now have a new home a new family and a new vision.

Did anyone else have the problem that they didn't apply the $99 deposit to the sale price? I noticed it while we were waiting for the car to be detailed, and they agreed to send us a check for the deposit. That was 5 weeks ago and Emily has not returned my email asking about the progress of the return.

I mostly mention this because they don't seem to have a line on the contract for the deposit and seemed somewhat confused when I asked them about it. In the excitement of finally picking up my smart I didn't think about it when we were filling out the paperwork. Luckily we caught it before we left. But then again, we haven't seen the money so I guess it wasn't all that lucky.

Was the Smart you picked up an Orphan or the one you Configured?
