Hello to all the ALABAMA awaiting folks and those just interested in what is going on.
I went by Crown Automobile this afternoon as I was headed to work for some quick photos of the building progress. They are posted below. It is coming along fast!
I went in to see if Mr. Walker or Mr. Musso happened to be in. They were not, but they thought a new Smart person was there but they could not find him. Anyway, another one of the sales force for Crown was talking to me and said that they were supposed to have cars in about two weeks. I guess these will be the demos, but surely some of our cars will come or be close behind. Maybe we will get updates here soon as to delivery. I just hope that my DDE was a mistake when it moved to June instead of August and it is on the way.
Jeff - thanks for letting us know what's up. My DDE still maintains today once more. Sooooo, I have a feeling It'll be at the dealer around August 31st or slightly sooner.
I was hoping to drive my Smart up as I'll have my new paint job on it by then (as well as a few other light mods). I need to figure out if I can fix my parents sunscreen first though - if not then we'll have to drive theirs up instead to get it replaced.
