Looks like they're building a new Smart Center in the Cerritos Auto Mall, location will be at the old Hummer dealership.

According to a blog on smart USA insider, its supposed to open in March 2009. The only smart there so far is a '08 demo yellow/silver passion coupe, which is for sale.

Confirmed. Met GM and salesman yesterday. Sister dealership of West Covina. Planning to open March 15th. They want to have a grand opening event. Bldg. is at NE corner of 183rd and Studebaker. Service building is a few blocks away.

I just drove by today. They still have a ways to but at least there is a sign up.

Site was also a former Hummer Dealership.

Man, that brings me back. I used to live about a mile or so down the street from there during jr high & high school.

Super! That's probably a bit closer to me than Laguna Niguel. I'll need to find out their service labor costs as I think LN's is $125 an hour!

Cerritos will offfically open Monday, March 16. 2009. They are open today, contacting new owners to pickup their cars and moving the 20 + new smarts around the lot. No orphans there, yet.

IT has been opened. I live right next to it. Nice to see all the smarts they can fit in that tiny lot. It used to be a Hummer Dealership how funny is that. I'll be stopping by there since I need a part for my Smart.
