smart center Cincinnati
If you are planning on buying a smart car in ohio dont waste your time going to smart center cincinnati go straight to smart center easton in columbus.
I was not pleased with the manager at smart center cincinnati when you would ask him somthing it would end up not being true. they say they only have ONE lender they work with and that i would not be approved
but yet smart center easton said they work wiht many lenders and DING DING DING i was APPROVED!!!
I think if smart center Cincinnati wants to be a leader in sales they better get there act and game togeather, when talking about my new brabus to people i will not even tell them there is a smart center in cincinnati thats how bad there service is!
i pick up my new all black 2009 brabus wedensday and im UBER excited!!
has anyone eles had issues with smart center cincinnati?

As the Brand Speacialist for Smart Center Cincinnati, I was entirely involved in the sales process as discussed by this and previous posts describing what would seem to be a lack of quality, service, and attention on behalf of our Dealership. However, as with every story there is always more than one side. But rather than play the he said she said game let me just discuss in this forum what was not said by the poster:
He did not tell you that he originally wanted our Dealership to hold the Brabus for an extended period of three months.
He did not tell you we had two Black Brabus Coupes. One was a Demo with 4100 miles and the other was new. He originally wanted the new one and to hold that one for three months. Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate a three month hold on a stock vehicle. He was graciously advised to hold off and put his deposit down a month before he was going to buy it.
He did not tell you than when finally a deposit was placed it was his choice to place it on the demo Brabus and not the new Brabus. It was quickly parked and tagged as sold awaiting delivery. He came upon this decision because he wanted a discount on the new and we are only able to offer discounts on our Demo Models. Which, ultimately, in the long run would have saved him $2000.
He did not tell you that in the meantime he received the $500 incentive from smartUSA to buy a 2009 model instead of waiting for his 2010 order. He wanted that to apply that to the Brabus, which would have been perfectly fine except for we were instructed by SMART that the $500 was only for new not demos and, therefore, it did not apply to the car he had put the deposit on. He then, got irate and climbed up the smartUSA ladder to our Smart District Representative. Needless to say, the squeaky wheel always gets the oil and they let him have the $500 for the Demo. (Which, by the way, was the $500 discount he so proudly boasted about getting from Easton. Remember we only discount demos not new. Especially on a BRABUS!!!)
I can not disclose what happened next because of the privacy act getting into personal information. There were also some lies and misconceptions, on his behalf, intertwined in the whole deal. But, once again my hands are tied from calling him out on those lies. That is when we hit a brick wall and could do no more for him.
I feel that our staff at Smart Center Cincinnati handled the situation with 100% professionalism. We take pride in our customer service and have held a 100% customer service rating for the past three months in a row. Customers, to us, are customers for life. I take pride in knowing that a vast majority of my customers are happy with their car, our dealership, staff, service, and me. I have been with the dealership since we have opened and so has Charles. All of us combined have never had this much trouble with any of our clients. We are all discouraged to see such an unsatisfied customer, however confident in knowing we did try to go over and beyond the potential clients expectations. It is very difficult to supersede those expectations when the client isn’t 100% truthful.
In closing, this is not a rant or intended to slander anyone. It is intended to defend our dealership’s name and well earned integrity we all worked so hard to achieve.

I have to admit that the dealership seems to lay out a more logical side of the story.... you're reply doesn't help your cause.

And I was also told when I put the deposit down that the car had 70 miles on it I went with my friend liz and she was right next to me when told this and yes I was pissed because I was told I could use the 500 on it in the first place and I Didnt want a car with 4100 miles on it I wanted a new no mile car my total cost at Easton was 20,455.00 after tax so money was not the issue the lack of a good dealer ship was and I was told by smart USA that cincy has had many issues just look at the other posts. If ya wanna call me and talk about it feel free 513-571-7922
Jeremy a happy brabus owner

Nicole....I'm with you. Every story has two sides. "BOB" has made his case and you have been very gracious in making yours.
It seems to me that "BOB" has had a chip on his shoulders from the beginning. Asking that your smart center 'hold' a BRABUS for 3 months is simply rediculous. In my opinion, he has an 'entitlement' mentality or that is at least the way he comes across. When he posted about his scratched rear window and how he believed his Brabus was delievered from Easton without a rear wiper, I pretty much laughed. Part of the delivery process at SCI (smart center Indianapolis) is to do a complete walk-around and show the buyer how each and every item works, including the wipers. I know that Joe showed us how the front wipers worked and the rear as well. If there was no wiper blade on the rear at that time, he would have known it IMMEDIATELY. I also found it odd that he walked into a strange aftermarket auto parts store and they GAVE him a wiper blade, out of the kindness of their hearts. WOW, now THERE'S a place that won't be in business if they keep giving away parts to customers they've never seen.
I also found it interesting that after drowning Easton with kudos for their professionalism and service, he was all but calling THEM idiots and liars when they wouldn't warranty his 'missing' rear wiper and the scratch in his back window. A more plausible scenario is that he bought some fancy wipers for the front and back. The rear fell off and he tried to blame in on Easton. When they didnt' buy it, he went back to the aftermarket parts store and they gave him a replacement rear and said 'sorry', but we can't do anything for your scratched glass. I've been in the automotive parts business for 25+ years and I've heard and seen pretty much everything. THIS is makes more sense to me.
As an SCOA PAYING member, I feel really bad that you and smart center Cincinnati have had to take such public ridicule and I'm really glad that you felt a need to respond. No one person, no one business and no one dealership is perfect. Sometimes all we have to do to realize that is to look in the mirror. If anything was missing on "BOB"s Brabus at the time of delivery, it must have been his mirror.
As for "BOB", here's some advice: you've made your point. Get over it and move on......to Easton. If you're not happy with your smart or the service, I highly recommend you buy a Mini. PLEASE?
