Smart Center Devon (PA) ???????????

Heard a rumor that Smart Center Devon (PA) was closing.

Their phone number no longer works. The phone number for the MB dealer that they were associated with also seems to be non-functional.

Does anyone know the scoop?

While Cherry Hill (NJ) (smart & MB) is GREAT for service (especially if you deal with Tom G), I vowed NEVER to buy anything from their sales department again!

I could be wrong, but I thought I saw something about the MB/smart dealership being bought by someone else.

yes they have new owners recently and more changes. Original GM is no longer there and some changes with smart personnel. I am hearing some of these changes included telephone redirecting which is causing the phone issues. More info to come - standing by.

I tried their phone for over an hour today. No good. Email worked. They said they were having trouble with the system but should be running now.

Thank goodness for the new owners! I bought my car there, but have gotten nothing bur run around from the old owners. I go to Germantown Maryland now.

I was there less than two weeks ago...everything seemed to be functional and in order back then. We are thinking about making a purchse from them soon...as soon as we decide on convertible or passion???

I purchase mine from Devon smart 53 weeks ago, and enjoyed a good experience. Other than the interminable wait for the car of course.

I'm not pushing one or the other. I love open top cars. If storage space is important make sure you compare the Cabrio and Passion rear cargo area. Devon will have both to look at side-by-side.

Rumors suck.

It's just as fastturb said. Our GM left and we are waiting to get a new one, in the mean time Mercedes Benz is picking up a lot of slack for us. This means a few things. First, Margie, the service writer, moved over to be with the Mercedes Benz service writers so that she has more support (lot boys and wash bay people), Christina moved up to the Business Development Center (promotion) to grow the business, and Seth and I are still chillin across the street and focusing on sales.

Combine these moves with the failure of our phones, yeah, I can see how this rumor started. Anyway, just stopping in to say I'm here. {unless you all worried and that will prompt you to buy another smart or your first smart, then by all means, stop by and see me (Eric) and I'll get you in a smart quickly ;-) } Feel free to email me any more questions.
