Reservation #1226 and just configured a couple of weeks back. I was #8 on their "wait-list" though, after putting down my $2K and that's how I got my Smart last week. I'm not sure how many are on that wait list now.
I reserved on 04/01 and configured on 11/9. I'm 1186 and have had no news.
Strange, but very good for you, I'm more than jealous!!

The "wait-list" is different than the reservation process, or were you aware of that already? Our configured car, if we decide to keep it, will be ready at some unknown time this year. Have you considered the wait list?
Thanks......I did go over and spent time with Julie this afternoon and she explained how the whole process works....
I also had a chance to speak with Ken and sort of based on the number of cars they've received and how many orders.......etc.... we're guessing mine will be within the next 6 weeks or so.
And that will be fine........
If I had been a more recent reservationist, I would easily popped out a deposit, for I would guess those just reserving are looking at a good delay.
I really think they are great over there. Drove both the PS and NPS, took a good look again at the red (which I ordered and was having serious doubts about)......and decided what I initially ordered was good for me.

I want to add my two cents about smart center universal city. I got my orphan there and couldn't be happier. This is a stellar dealership. Ken, Anna, Adam, Todd and Elizabeth in the parts department have all been incredible to me. They'll treat you really well. I have been very impressed.
