Well, no cars today, but thats ok.
I have been waiting for over a year to get my hands on a Smart.
I can wait a little longer.

Thanks for the upate pokey! I am in El Paso at the moment and had to come on to see if anything was happening. Sounds like I will be back before anything big happens.

Sounds good jwight - so when do you prefer? Mardi Gras, Jazz Fest, French Quarter Festival, Voodoo Fest, Sugar Bowl, NBA playoffs, (uh, whatelse we got going on every year?)

I stopped by today after lunch. The showroom is complete, just waiting on the cars. I went inside and talked to Walter. He skimmed thru their delivery list and thinks my car could be arriving in their first delivery on Friday

This could be it! The wait could finally be over...

Saying an extra prayer tonight that my patience is paying off.

Soooo, good news/bad news situation. Walter sent me the vin # of the car in the list that has my name on it, but the item list for the vehicle says 'hard top' (mine should be passion coupe sun roof) and I added fog lights option but it doesn't specify if the car has them. He said the page shows a "training and technology" package but he is not sure what that means since they are just opening and not completely savvy with smart's systems and verbage.
I did a search in the postings but it didn't turn up anything with this phrase. Anyone out there knows what this is?

Stopped by last night.. many Smarts are there.. sadly they all had peoples names on them.. and none of them was mine :-(...

Check again. More came in this morning. I took a chance and drove over there this afternoon, mine is there now, I visited it

Will be picking up on Monday. Walter said they have about 33 cars now and only 3 of them are (were) orphans. Another shipment on the way.
