Udo ... and company, how's it going?
I'm kinda confused on some stuff ... I keep trying to get questions answered and I never get any calls back from anyone ... mainly service-tech questions. I call the 800# and they say to call you ...
Are there numbers that I should call other than the MB main number to go straight to Smart service? Because going through the MB side is getting really frustrating.

First. I asked about a fob-less key (door key) that I can take in the water with me when I bought the car on Jan. 18th. No word ... I went back to the parts area and bought floor mats and re-inquired about the key issue ... they took my name and number but yet still no information. I found a vendor in town (who probably called you) that can make the key ... he just needs blanks. Can you please look into it and get back to me?

Second. I called asking about how tight to torque the drain plug ... they sent the call to you guys ... the phone rang and rang and rang and rang ... no answer so I called back asking to go straight to service ... where I asked for a Smart tech ... got voice mail (understandable). It's been a while now and still no call back. Again - is there a better number that I can use to get a hold of someone who knows the tech bits about the car?

My complements to Udo and Ricardo and Sally and Eric and the rest of the sales team at San Diego Smart. They have been "Professional and Smart". Ricardo has been great about returning calls. The service department... well, not so great at returning calls. In fact never. Oh well, hope is a wonderful thing!

I had the same experience with the service Dept. After 3 attempts to get a return call, had to demand to speak to Service Manager...Car had been ready for a few hours with no call....the poorest customer service ever...Guess they have to baby the Benz owners.
