Smart Center - Walnut Creek, CA

I had heard a rumor that Smart was opening a dealership in Walnut Creek; so, I visited the local dealership and was told the rumor is fact. SmartCars will be sold at the old Porsche dealership location on North Main St. The new dealership should open in about 2 months.

I rode by the location, but there doesn't seem to be any activity there, as yet. Has anyone heard the same news?

I hope the one opens in san rafael too just to have another close by option..

I remember smart USA saying the Walnut Creek road show had the largest attendance of them all and Northern California had the most reservations. I would be happy to have SF, SR & WC nearby.

Does anyone know how we switch from the mega dorks in SF to the WC location (whenever they open)? In fact I'd like to switch to San Jose or Sacramento before I'd go back to SF. They gave me the willies.

I'm a #1433 and I see that others slightly higher than me are starting to configure. Also I've dropped off the DDE? What-up with dat???? Guessing that I'll be switched from SF to WC when the new dealer opens but it's just a guess and my crystal ball is hazy.

Just configured 9/5....I'm a 1433 in Northern California. Per their email, delivery will apparently be at the NEW (not even open yet) center in Walnut Creek. My DDE is still blank.

I'm 1496. Just configured for delivery at Walnut Creek. I'm right in the middle of SF and Sacramento so having a dealer only 20 minutes away instead of an hour is awesome.

Newsletter #15 says it's scheduled to open before the end of the year. I drove by last week...no activity.
