Just wanted to update now that the purchase is complete. They had a passion shipped in (at no extra charge) that was as close to my specs as they could find. The only thing missing was an alarm system, which they had installed at a third-party shop (Al & Ed's, I believe) and split the cost with me, so it actually turned out a bit cheaper than a factory-installed unit. They also adjusted the price to account for the cash-for-clunkers rebate, so that the total would be lower for our tax payment.
To top it all off, when I asked about purchasing floor mats, Vinnie said "let me see what I can do for you" and returned as we were finishing up our paperwork to say that he'd found some with trim to match the color of my car - free of charge.
All this from a staff that had to stay nearly an hour after closing to wrap up our sale.
I drove my new smartie away from the dealership just 11 days after I first dropped in to see if they had what I wanted. Overall, I couldn't be happier with the customer service.
