smartcenter Lincolnwood- My Repair Log

Alright, so I took car in yesterday to have some repairs done.

Sticky shifter. -Fixed
Peeling carpet. -Ordered new carpet
Opening glovebox. -Fixed
Banging windshield wipers. -Fixed
2.0 update. -Updated
Rattling driver side door. -So far so good.

Most were fixed with no problem. Luckily all under warranty!

HOWEVER,
I got the car home, and the turn signals started to act up. First randomly, they would blink very fast like a bulb was out, then both of my turn signals did go out, then they came back on then they worked fine, then the process would randomly repeat itself.
But now, they are all BUM.......!

Left turnsignal - All four lights flash (Front & Back)
Right turnsignal - All four lights flash (Front & Back)
Hazards - All four lights flash (Front & Back)

I called the 1-800 service number.
At first I thought I was speaking to a robot, but that changed when I got a little angry...

But, then we got it all worked out, and Mr. Robot understood my frustrations.
Loeber closed at 6m, this was at 6:30pm

The car is drivable, and sure... I could use arm signals...but I feel like something as simple as turn signals are a very large, visability safety feature in our smart.

So, the smart is being towed, under warranty to Loeber today. And, I am picking up their first smart Loaner car.

I'll let you know how smoothly this all goes.

Wish me luck!

I too have had "stupid" problems pop up after visiting Loeber's.After my 2.0 up grade was done they broke some clips that hold the belly pan on and it started coming off, they also didn't put the side skirts/front fender liners in correctly so I had to go back for that.I picked it up and my front washers weren't working, turned out they pinched the hose!?!
My visits are becoming a monthly event but I still love my Pea2so!
What does the peeling carpet look like?I'm starting to see the Trideon in the footwell.

Allright, so after telling me they'd being towing it and making all those plans... at the last second..
"You'll have to drive it in."
me- "Is that legal to drive a car without blinkers?"
..long pause...

..
..

...

"Use hand signals."

me- "Uh, thanks for your help."

Long story short, I drove to Loeber in Memorial Day traffic with "Hand signals", good thing everyone thought I was waving at them.. NOT.

HAND SIGNALS IN A SMART DOES NOT WORK.

The car is going to be sitting at Loeber until at LEAST Tuesday, and they have givin me their first loaner.

A white on silver passion cabrio with 7.3 miles on it! (With a LOAD of advertisement on it.)

Upload a pic later! I'm off to drive with the top down!!
