I was browsing Craigslist out of curiosity and noticed 3-4 Cabrios had been posted for sale. No information except a phone number to call. So I went to the Lincolnwood dealer's webpage and checked and the phone numbers matched the brand specialists' numbers.

I guess Cabrios are being orphaned a lot due to the economy and they're having to post them on CL out of desperation.

Did they list the price? Are they loaded with GPS and add-ons? just wondering.

They did list price. All of them are '09s and are between $18k and $19k. Only one of them had a description and it had the comfort package and extras. I know they do have a red one with an impressive stereo with LCD screen and GPS, but I think that one was going for $20k.

Those prices do not sound inflated at all. Tough times for selling cars. Or selling most anything.

I bought my car there on Monday, and yep, they've had a lot of cabs orphaned, I'm betting more than are on Craiglist. They are loading the "dealer extras" onto them - GPS was added to the 4 I saw in the showroom. I'd guess the ones they're listing are those - if you want one without them, move quickly.

If the red one with LCD/GPS is $20k. They lowed the price by about 2k. I remember they offer one to me for $22k+.

Congrat. you saved $400. next year price go up. When you were ther, Do they have BRABUS in the showroom. I want to check it out.

They mentioned the price increase at the time - I hadn't heard about it before them. But I only started looking at getting a Smart a week or two ago.

And yep, they've got a Brabus convertible in the showroom.
