Rmichael1,
No reason for anyone to "flame" you. What some may wonder is what your car's history. How come that special color was sent to your dealership? Who did originally decided to make this special color? What was the original intent (display, show, experiment)? As you posted, it was not an orphan, but how come it came on the market?
Just interested. Thank you.

GREAT question! Since I hadn't been on the orphan list, or this one, very long I didn't know to ask or wonder WHY. I thought this was a usual thing. SOoo, since I"m going to the RR smart Center today, I'll ask and post later today.

I walked into the Universal City Smart Center two weeks ago today and purchased a passion coupe off the floor. Supposedly, it was an orphan that they decided to keep and customize. They also had a used smart car (do not recall model) with about 1400 miles and without any customization that they were selling at a premium. I realized that I was paying the dealer a premium via the customization. However, I did not find paying for the customization to be as offensive as I would have found paying the premium for the used smart car at this dealer or the premium that people are wanting on ebay for their used smart cars.
