Having only driven this car in the test drive I was more motivated by gas mileage, air pollution, and parking than the actual driving of the machine. However, now having driven it a couple of days, I am very impressed with the way it handles. The slow shifting is already becoming a thing of the past. Hey, this reminds me of the way I was taught to drive 40 years ago. The only complaint I have at this point is the loss of my anonymity. I went to Wal-Mart off of Clairemont Mesa Blvd. yesterday. As I merged into the off ramp a guy in a pick-up truck ushered me over ahead of him by holding is upturned hand and extended arm out his window; smiling. It was kinda demeaning, but then he gave me a thumbs up; which was cool. Then as I entered the back way through the Starbucks parking lot three people sitting at a patio table pointed and stared at me. As I was coming home I was sitting at a U-turn inside lane #1 position at a red light. A guy turning left in front of me (from my right to left) almost ran into the raised center divider because he was staring at me. He woke up and corrected just in time. These and other head turning stares give evidence that I am no longer alone in the world.....spooky...........what the heck ar these tags things???
