Ditto that!

We ordered a second one in March for my husband. Gets the same mileage as his motorcycle and it's safe and comfortable. Don't expect it until 09 but we're in no hurry.

I ordered another a few weeks ago as well ... I figure that as Shanna says, I can sell Gidget (heaven forbid) for the same price as the new Gidget will cost, and do so before the warrantee expires then I'll have saved $1000 for having a car warranted for 4 years. Plus if there's any design bugs they should have been worked out ... and ... hopefully ... by the time my new number is up, MHD will be available and I'll be dialed-in to get one right off the bat. There's no reason to orphan a new one regardless ... if nothing else I'll have a new car and no effective cost.

I tried to place another reservation. I got my cabrio Feb 22.
First automatic refusal was "email already exists"
Changed to work email.
Second automatic refusal was "Drivers Lic # already exists"
Can't work around that one?

So, I am planning to send a real check and a letter to smartusa HQ.

just call smartUSA to reset the license number so you can place another reservation.

I received the same refusal message. I called Smart USA and was told by a rep to simply provide an alternate email address and enter a space or symbol in the driver's license number entry.

Worked fine. [New rez even accepted same physical address, phone number and CC info without a problem.]

After filling up in CA yesterday my wife was glad I have a second one reserved (#1500)

Got my smart in early Feb. Placed a second reservation for a smart #2 Late Feb. Now, just last night I did reservation #3. Not exactly sure what I'm going to with three since there is only two of us. Maybe our Schnauzers will learn to drive? Guess I really like this car!
