Who are these guys?

1 year celebration

I dropped by the smart center san diego yesterday - 'cause I was in the neighborhood. While chatting, I asked if there was going to be a 1 year celebration at the center. One of the ladies, don't remember which one, said that someting along those lines was in the works and that I should watch for an email. Probably early next year.

Also, it was mentioned that they are expecting their first shipment of '09s next week.

My little Putt-Putt's over there right now. She's in for her 10,000 mile visit. Also getting a little upholstery repair.

Hi Bill, Let us know how your service went, and if you feel like it, let us know the charges. I have not heard anyone talke about the SD center's service area - or maybe I just missed it.

See you soon,

So far, I've been told it will be about $230 for the 10K service. They are also looking at the shifter issue (remember our I-15 day? I fixed it myself, but they will look at it too - no charge). There is also the upholstery issue. On the passenger seat, the panels started to separate a little. They do not fix it there (or just replace the seat). They send it out to someone else. That's under warranty.

The biggest surprise was that they gave me a loaner. I wasn't expecting that. When I brought the car in for the oxygen switchover sensor problem, I was told there are no loaners due to the lower cost of the smarts (compared to the Benz's).

They've treated me well so far. I don't know just where in the process the car is, but it's not as urgent thanks to the loaner they provided.

Hi All; My cost for the 10K was $240 back on Sept 20. In total, Small One's been in the shop 4 times. 10K servicing, replacement of the heater controller module, replacement of a loose wire connector and just today to lube up the shifter so I could put her into park.

MB of SD is excellent. The service is superb. They have washed and vac'ed each time.

Hello there!
Remember me? I haven't been around for a while--work is kicking my buns. But I will be here more often. I'd love to get a calendar of events, etc. going for us. Maybe quarterly with a variety of events so everyone knows what's upcoming and can decide what to participate in.

Anyway, back to work...

hope you are all well.

Hi Shanna!
I've been watching this space.
I'm busy the next two weekends, but then I'm free.

So, should we do a holiday smart crawl? Maybe finally hit the Hotel Del for a cocktail and a nosh. Should be all purty with the lights and such. Or a wine country tour?
