107 degrees in Baker and everyone in the world is going home from Vegas. That is Monday for you. Only 100 degrees in Barstow.
May I highly recommend the Virgin River Gorge that I-15 goes through. Wow.
Stopped in Vegas and talked to a Vegas smart Center person. Then got back in and drove off. Four states today. Here is today's journey. Home tomorrow!

Left this morning, arrived in Minden, NV. Leaving tomorrow for Portola, CA. Staying there for the weekend, then back to Minden Sunday night. Then home on Monday. 501 miles today. 12.2 gals. 41 mpg up through a 8,000 ft. high pass.

I will be at it again on Friday. Going up to San Jose - I-5 to LA - 101 to San Luis Obispo and then 1 up to Monterey - the back to 101 to San Jose. Most of the highway 1 part won't show up.
Coming back mostly on I-5 on Monday.

Today's trip: Over 500 miles. 45 mpg from San Luis Obispo to San Jose - on Highway 1. I'm coming back down 101 to LA on Monday.
