Let's do another drive. Date: 11/21/09, a Saturday. This time the goal is Idyllwild in Riverside County. I don't want to steal anyone's thunder. Just making up a drive for more people to enjoy.
Anywhoooo....
Basically a drive up from San Diego up I-15N to I-215N to 60E to Banning. Then south through the San Jacinto Mountains and a visit to Idyllwild. Then south and then anyone wanting to head back north can take the turn to Hemet or continue south to Anza. Then continue west to Aguanga. Again those that want to go west can go back to Temecula on 79. The San Diego group will continue south on 79 through Warner Springs and down to the Santa Ysabel Casino for lunch. Then anybody left can go home anyway they want (back north or south to 78 to Ramona and Escondido.

The group could stop at selected spots to collect more people on the way to Banning.

A contingency plan would be to go around the San Jacintos (because of possible snow) through Palm Desert to 74 and Anza instead. Just keeping the options open.

We will meet at the smart center San Diego at 0830.
Stop at Deer Springs Rd. and I-15 at the Park and Ride.
Stop at highway 60 and 243 (Banning)
Stop at Idyllwild - look around.
Down to the Santa Ysabel Casino for lunch.
Go home.
It may just be the two smarts. We don't mind.
