The install is officially off for now... I am so BUMMED and havn't felt like this in a very.. very long time...

I checked in two boxes... one skinny light box with the muffler and another box that weighed 30 pounds with all the turbo, piping, ecu etc...

When I landed the only box that came out of that luggage belt was my muffler... !@#$%^&&*.....

I'm keeping my hopes up... I checked it in 30 min prior and REALLY HOPING that TSA actually went to do a manual inspection because I actually saw the muffler box go into the airplane as I was sitting on the window seat and a few mins later they closed the hatch down below.. that means TSA wouldn't have had time to open it, inspect it, tape it back up and send it off to the airplane...

The next flight up from San Diego to San Francisco arrives at 4:30 pm... it's 2 pm right now and I have 2 1/2 hours more to endure this suffocating moment... PLEEEEASE let the box come on the next flight and not let it become another "lost bag"... can't afford to lose this box x(

+1.

I was going to come up and pay you a visit. I'm not far from your shop, so just let me know (by updating this thread) WHEN you get your box.

Can't wait to see your new toy.

best,

geosynch

geosynch, Terry and everyone else, thanks for the well wishes... good news is I FINALLY GOT THE BOX!!!.... TSA probably thought it was a threat.. you know.. turbocharger.. metal piping... electronic boards (ECU).. wires... silicone tubing.. probably thought it was a home made.. "you-know-what". But because of them I nearly had a heart attack with a very very sad depression set in.. but luckily they were just doing their job and they didn't steal anything!... I can finally see the great piece of work that was put into it...

"SMART Security Saves Time"??!?!?!... Yeeeaa Suureee.. It wasted alot of my time and mental stress =P However... SMART Security Save Lives...

I have pictures of the components but they will be part of my little write up on a new division I'll be starting just for the SMART car as a new business plan.

I have a few things planned for this, one is to install it just like how it was designed by SPR... Then a second version which is a more refined "Devil's version" where I redesign and retune some of the components for more power and offer it as an option or maybe even a benefit over my competitors even though I'm mainly wanting to support local SMART owners with their turbocharge system.

Well I plan to discuss more about this in the future but for now I hope I can claim to be the first 451 turbocharged smart car up here in Nor Cal by tomorrow afternoon!

Lets the game begin! I'll be getting some rest so tomorrow, before noon, I'll start taking things apart, documenting (such as weight difference), taking pictures and installing all at the same time. Hopefully I'll be done sometime in the late afternoon.

For those who want to drop by, feel free to reply back here or send me a text or give me a call at area code.. (six five zero) 703 0911650 703 0911 and ask me where I am in the process and you can decide then if you want to drop by. But I'll probably be updating this thread as I go as I got a new netbook just to tune this vehicle on the fly and will be using it to post on here

So TOMORROW IT IS!!!!

WOOOhOooo!

Okay I couldn't hold it in... Look at those BENDS & WELDS!!!

Thanks for the support guys!
Larry

Yea, I'll see if I can ask someone to get the thread "moved" there so I can keep everything in one thread or I'll just start a new one there. I wanted to sponsor that part of the forum too once I get this turbocharger and a few other things lined up

Your over on the east bay right? I should jsut drive around in circles around the bay, it's about 90-100 miles round trip, that would be great for breaking in the turbo in a quickie... haha Then when I'm over on the other side maybe I can drop by and say hi

I would stay up however... I didn't sleep at all last night, I came in from Boston yesterday and arrived last night at midnight.. worked for the next 5-6 hours then went back to the airport and took a flight from hell down to san diego.. well it's not a flight from hell, more like a very annoying emotional roller coaster day =P.. so now I'm totally drained as I've been awake for more then 24 hours. I need to rest so I can be fully awake especially when I'm hooking up the wires for the ECU =P... Don't want a broken cow
