With 6 million people in the Bay Area and all the money that flows in this place, you'd think they'd have to be.
But I haven't found it yet.
A guy in LA raved about a shop down there. I'm a few months out from a car audio upgrade, but when the time comes, I may just drive down there to have it done.
geosynch, is that al & ed's (aka 4smartcar) in west hollywood? i've thought about driving there too. the only other place i could think of was car audio innovations as they did a good job in my 911 (by a previous owner)
It was Al & Ed's, but I had no idea it was also 4smartcar... That's good to know.
There is a lot I want to do with my smart, but with an over full life, I can handle only one mod at a time, and it usually takes me a month to research and execute. As you know, the current mod is the exhaust.
You folks may want to check the Smart Car Technical forums here, some shops listed. For the San Francisco/Greater Bay Area region, I've had good success with Trust Auto Performance in San Bruno. They did my stereo installation as well tinting, and do performance mods for other cars. It's just a matter of time before someone brings in their smart for similar mods. Perhaps DavidV if you're watching this thread you can give us some idea when the WORKS / smarter mods will become available or what sort of installation stuff can still be done at Infineon Raceway? I'd like to get a few things done myself as you know Oh, and see ya Sunday!
I Am Trying To Replace My Factory Radio With A Nice Touch Screen Dvd Player, Gps, Tv Tuner....i Need To Know About The Wiring. I Bought The Wiring Harness And Kit But I Got A Question About Some Of The Wires. Plus There Is A Yellow Connector That Came Of The Original Radio....what Is It And Where Do It Go. Help Me Please
hi renshi6, that yellow wire could be tied to the ignition system for continuous power, not sure, you may want to ask over in the Smart Car Technical forum, since this thread is focused toward Norcal area Car Stereo Installation Shops (as the title says) --- also check with the Evilution.co.uk site, they have instructions for many modifications which may help you out. Cheers!
