Please post if you think you will be coming and if you want to go on a little Presidio drive/end up maybe at the bowling alley, or cruise over the GG Bridge to drive in the Headlands - or any other ideas or locations to end at.

Okay fellow NorCal peeps, sounds like it is about time to start planning our first get together. Guess we should start out by covering a few points like date/time, location and what we want to do (meeting and hanging out, trying to plan a drive or lunch?).

Not sure how best to do this but thought I'd start the ball rolling with a new thread. I hope we get a whole bunch of people with or without cars on hand yet - I'll update this top post with the info on where and who is attending as we whittle it down to the final plans.

So here goes, I'll start with a date, Sat March 29th or Sun 30th?

SF meet at Crissy Field maybe....

A Crissy Field meet would be so cool. Should have some really nice photo ops there. Wish I could go.

30th sounds good here, Crissy field or the bay overlook or even the exploratorium woud be a cool backdrop

We could wait of course, we just have to agree on a date that works for the majority. If that first weekend in April is better it would have to be Saturday the 5th - Sunday is F1

Yeah, but it's 430GMT.........so that's Saturday night whenever for us.

I watch it via Speed Channel usually on Sundays as quickly as possible before some schmo ruins it for me

So anyway, Saturday or Sunday is fine. Probably best for an initial in SF. One time it would be fun to "invade" Santana Row on a Saturday morning. (If you don't know about the informal car gatherings there every Saturday from about 9-noon, it's pretty hilarious with the poser-to-enthusiast crowd in everything from Ferraris to '50's British.)

Yeah, I was thinking of that too - didn't want to make the East Bay or far North folks have to go too far though. Still an option, maybe sooner or later?

I went once but we've not made it back, we either have plans or just get too lazy to go all the way to San Jose to linger around the parking lot
