I'm wondering if anyone in SF or the bay area has installed the Smart base rack yourself, I'm looking into doing that and looks like it involves removing the rear end and drilling holes to install the brackets.
Basically I'm looking into options to carry 2 snowboards (with bindings) on the Smart cabrio. The Smart base rack + snowboard attachments seem to be the best option as it doesn't block the brake lights. There is the Smart Madness bike rack + snowboard attachments too, which is a lot easier to install. Any suggestions would be much appreciated... Thanks!
