Wow!!! What a day. I thought I would join the SOCSF's 1st Sunday Drive done in conjunction with the Mercedes club. My wife and I journeyed down to Carmel and did the winery thing. It was a great drive down. When we arrived some very nice folks from the Mercedes group met us, however we were the only smart. No problem, we joined the group and went through some very hilly terrain, narrow roads with a lot of curves. After about 2 hours, we made it to the winery with this great view:
Then we headed to San Juan Bautista through more twisty, narrow and steep roads. The smart did fabulous, kept up with all of the big boys and had no trouble with the grades. When we got to San Juan Bautista, tigerwong58 joined us with his lovely wife. They had come out from Kansas City, but had other commitments earlier in the day. We got some pictures of the two smarties.
