To All Lombard St. Photo Shoot Participants

Hi, Everyone! It is sure good to see so many people who plan on participating in the August 10th photo shoot at Lombard Street! An organizing committee is meeting this Thursday to go over all the logistical issues, questions and problems that you have raised as well as others!

To date, we've made tremendous progress, and we believe our local SCOA chapter can totally fill the street with smart cars for the photo op. To date, we have at least three professional photographers who will be taking pictures once we get in our smart cars in place.

In order to pull this off, we'll all have to be ready and lined up at the staging area for the short ride up and over the Lombard Street hill beginning around 7 AM on Sunday, August 10th! If we are delayed and fail to start the procession after approx. 8:00 -8:30 AM, it will be definitely find it difficult to keep our line-up intact.

We hope to have a committee report on the Forum by this Friday or Saturday at the latest. If you know of other smart car owners in the NorCal region who you think would like to participate, please let them know the tentative date and time. We'll need as many smart cars as possible, if we want to completely fill up the street!

More information soon! Bob

PS. Again, feel free to post your questions, ideas and comments on this thread, and we'll make sure they all get discussed by the committee on Thursday. Thanks!

Yes, best not leave that car unattended anywhere in sf. I'm a pretty quick peeler & those stickers will be gone. for sure.

If my poor cow is missing any spots, I'm going to hunt your smart down and give it some "moo moo" patches of it's own.. =P

OMG, 7am? I'm not sure I remember what 7am looks like. Oh well. Maybe a hotel in SF for the night before and I can avoid Hwy 4 and the bridge. Sounds like this will be really fun.

Haha I would have said the same thing except working at Virgin America and flying around for the last two months.. I have to say I lost track of time.. day and night... so.. 7am is no different to me then taking up at 3am for a flight.. =)

LittoDevil - Day is when the sun is up, night is when it's dark out. Lesson learned from years of 24/7 365 watch standing. You never get re-aclimated!! Should be a great turnout for the Aug 10 photo shoot!!
