Recs for tint in/near San Francisco?

Hi all, I'm looking for a trustworthy shop that does good work and has quality film (in the past I've used Llumar metallic and it was nice, I'd like to go a metallic product with warranty again). It would also be great if they had reasonable prices.

If anyone has used a place they can recommend I'd appreciate it

I know you're requesting for a place in/near San Francisco. However, I've heard great things about California Auto Tinting and Polishing in Campbell. It may be worth the drive for you.

Looks like the reply posts were lost - thanks but I had the tint done already by Jeff at Auto Image in Belmont. Very nice guy, good tint/job and reasonable - 5 windows for $150.

Hi SmartAzz, so you did tint the roof as well? how dark did you go for the different windows** or did you do the same tint all around?

Also, I understand some of the earlier euro smarts had some sort of 'uv protective' light tint (maybe it was a BB option..) what are other people doing as far as window tinting?

Didn't do the roof, I personally don't feel it needs it since it is already tinted from the factory some, and the fabric screen works well (better shading then the Minis). The coated polycarbonate roof also blocks the UV.

I did 30 some odd percent all around, love it

SmartAzz...I followed your lead and decided to go to Auto Image instead. They did an excellent job. 18% in the back and 35% on the sides. I'm very pleased with the result. I no longer feel like I'm driving in a fish bowl with people peering in all around.

What color did you guys
use?
I have seen a gold tint that was a knock out.

The 18 back and 35 sides is just what I was planning!

Never saw gold tint - I just like a true gray (not greenish or coppery) myself

I've had a number of cars done here, they are a mom & pop sorta shop but do all kinds of mods and tinting. quick turnaround, excellent work. i am going to speak to them about doing smart performance and a stereo upgrade when i get the windows tinted..
