smart Center San Francisco Updates

Just noticed updates to the San Francisco website.

"Our official open date is January 26th. The grand opening date will be sometime in February. We'll post it here when the date is finalized!"

Also lists some new smart specialists working there.

I may check it out on Saturday.

Dropped in today to get a look at the first day Of business, and I must say I was NOT impressed. Several lookers, few "specialists", Receptionist asked if I had an Appointment.....to look? Just told her I wanted to check out the colors on Actual cars befor I hit the complete button on my configurator. She pointed to the Door sampleas and said they Had two cars to Look over (Three cars on the Sales Floor). Looked into the Garage and there they were another 10 cars all different! Listening to half the Specialists they came across as Ho Hum. This is a great car Folks. I began takling to several of the lookers and started to point Out all the features, Come On Bill step out of the office and motivate the team.........! After hearing of all the great dealers out there and the energy from San Diago and Seattle, I am totally dissapointed. Still want the Car as much as ever, just luke warm on the dealership so far.

Wow, sorry to hear that. Was going to stop by but not feeling well, and without a call back re: a test drive I couldn't see dragging myself over there for naught.

I went in there a few weeks ago before the showroom even opened and they let me up there and poke around the cars all I wanted. The GM talked to me, and one of their sales guys came over to me and just bull****ted with me for a good 15 minutes. While I was there they closed and let me stay up there. I give this team an A+. I think it's so much easier to talk to the smart guys because there is no pressure for sales! I've already placed my order for the car and it should arrive within a few months.

Dealerships..

Wow, that's unusual you got a lukewarm reception, every time I have gone into the San Francisco Benz / Smart Center they have treated me excellent and seemed enthusiastic about the cars. It is true that the sales teams don't always know everything the true enthusiasts do, but in this case I found a genuine interest from their staff, and their bookmarks were filled with the same smart websites that I frequent ** I look forward to picking up my car from these friendly, helpful people.

I haven't checked out the SJ dealership since it became 'official' but I called awhile back to get on their waiting list and they seemed happy if not perky in general

Niello has good people as well, and they are always putting on customer appreciation parties of some sort, that is going to be one fun place for Sacramento people.

I wonder how San Rafael will do? North Bay people will be pleased for sure, even though it isn't, well, more North.

One thing I found across all dealerships was the absolute lack of pretentiousness of the Benz people. Having dealt with certain BMW owners and dealers the past 4 years, that is a relief!
