We have planned a technical event on Sunday, July 27, 10:00 a.m. to noon, at the smart center San Francisco. Bill Scott, Brand Manager, and his team will share with us the many features that have made the smart such a hit in Europe. In the U.S., we get the second-generation car that has even more features. By the way, our MBCA National Events Committee is making plans to include the smart in our 2008 National/Regional Events Rule Book so you can enter it in club events, such as the Concours d’Elegance and Driving Events. It is awesome in autocross! Maybe we’ll see smart cars and owners at StarFest.
Coffee and morning snacks will be available around 9:30 a.m. Reservation form will be in the June and July newsletters (deadline will be July 22).

DIRECTIONS:
From the Peninsula, take Highway 101, exit at 9th Street, turn right on Bryant Street, then turn right on 8th Street and into the parking lot at Mercedes-Benz of San Francisco.
From the East Bay, take I-80, exit at 9th Street onto Harrison, then turn left on 8th Street. Stay in the right lanes when you cross Bryant Street so you can turn into the parking lot at Mercedes-Benz of San Francisco.
From the North Bay, take Highway 101 (Lombard to Van Ness), turn left on O’Farrell Street, turn right on Hyde Street, follow it across Market Street and it becomes 8th Street. Stay in the right lanes when you cross Bryant Street so you can turn into the parking lot at Mercedes-Benz of
San Francisco. After you park, walk into the building lobby and go to the right up the stairs to the smart center San
Francisco.
