Smarty coming for a weekend visit!

Hey all

I'm coming up in my smart on sept. 26-28th for a quick getaway. We're staying at the Hyatt, on Embarcadero. Costs around 50.00 a night to park, I found on another forum there is a place nearby that costs 30.00, but not sure if I can do in and out.

I'm looking for any suggestions on parking, 24 hour with in and out privileges.

Thanks!

Can't help you with parking info - but you know if you call the hotel they might just tell you other better options, I know that I had that happen one time when I was traveling. Also check Trip Advisor or simply look up spots, check distance on an internet map, and call them for current info.

Hope you enjoy your visit

you can probably street park it. You'll only need to feed the meter on Saturday during the day. Sundays are free and there should be a spot for your car somewhere nearby.

Get thee to yelp (link here: www.yelp.com) and research your options. there's plenty of reasonable parking (even overnight), though not sure about in/out privileges, there are surely some garages that will do that.

The Hyatt is infamous for bilking people for parking and overpriced drinks and food, that said, it's a great place to rest your head at night but plenty of better places nearby to grub, drink, etc.

Ah the Hyatt downtown has breathtaking views too, go there at night for a quick drink and cityscape (unless you are afraid of heights, LOL) before heading off somewhere better for dinner! You're at the Embarcadero? Staff is a bit nicer there than the others. Parking nearby though, hmm, depends how far you want to walk

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. I think I found a place that I may try out, its parkforless.org charging 20.00 with unlimited in and out priv. Its about a mile and a half away, 3 blocks from Union Square.

Thanks for the tip on the hotel and its view, it is downtown I believe, if the Embarcadero is downtown?

I thought about street parking, but read about the frequent break-ins, could be the same here, but just exaggerated in the online forums. I plan to not have anything in view, but with such a novelty car leaving it for a lengthy period on any street worries me.

Hope to see some other smarties out there!

Oh yeah I found this site too which I thought was a pretty nifty idea:
