Today, thanks to a friend who post in the mexican Smart car forum I realized that this concept from Dodge presented in 2004 was based in the Smart Roadster.
It was interesting to know what that merge (Daimler-Chrysler) would have create, btw, this concept never went into production.
Here is a picture I took at the LA car show back in 2005:

how was that based on the Smart car? It doesn't look anything like one to me.

Oh ok. I see it now. I thought it was meant to be similar to the Fortwo. If it was.. that's where I wasn't seeing the resemblance.

really? you don't say.........

and as far as it resembling the 'smart roadster', yea...i can see it. but when i first saw it, i thought it was more along the lines of a Porsche 914.
